Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles on the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. In college, he began to take an interest in acting. In the University of Colorado at Boulder it was where he studied acting. While he has appeared in movies as well as on TV however, it's his actors portrayed in small screen that has earned him fame. He's been able to effortlessly play roles of characters who are from both sides of law and grab the audience's interest. His initial project was a television serial, however, he was later as a detective with the NYPD. He's been nominated numerous times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen performance. One of his most striking facial features is thought to be his distinctive blue eyes that are regarded to be a trademark and have aided in depicting the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
